Little Gray Men Made My Eyes Turn Red!

Gary is a believer. So are his friends Pam and Joyce. As for me, I have my doubts, but I'm trying to keep an open mind--and open eyes. It's 4:52 on a Thursday morning. We are on the side of a road 500 miles from Los Angeles, about as close to the middle of nowhere as you could ever imagine. The wind is fierce and cold. Bundled up and nodding off in my beach chair after nearly eight hours of gazing blankly into the blue-black sky over the Nevada desert, I am suddenly jolted to a higher level of awareness. "I see one!" shouts Gary. "Look everyone, there it is!" says Pam. "Oh, isn't it just beautiful?" chimes Joyce. "What, what?" I ask. "Where?"
