Thanks to a new computer system developed by the New York Racing Assn., you may not have to stand in a long line to place your bet--or collect your winnings. With the One Account, you can use a special debit card in betting terminals located throughout the track. As you win or lose, money is added or subtracted from a personal betting account you set up at the track or by mail with NYRA. You also get a password for placing bets over the telephone, and you can transfer money into your account electronically from a MasterCard or Visa credit line.
