On Mar. 4, a federal jury in Brooklyn found Morris Eisen, one of New York City's most prominent personal-injury lawyers, guilty of racketeering and conspiracy. Prosecutors had argued that Eisen and six co-defendants won more than $9 million in damage awards by bribing witnesses, faking evidence, and staging accidents in 17 cases. Eisen and the others are considering an appeal.
