Bloomberg L.P. announced the creation of several new editorial platforms for the Middle Eastern markets to meet the needs of the region’s growing audience of business and financial news consumers. Platforms include a Middle Eastern edition of Bloomberg.com, original programming from Bloomberg Television and a new conference from Bloomberg Markets.

Justin Smith, CEO of Bloomberg Media said, “In the last year, we have launched regional sites in EMEA and Asia, entered into an ambitious multi-platform partnership in India and now are expanding our reach to important business and finance audiences in the Middle East through investing in platforms, people and technology.”

NEWS: Regional Digital Destination

  • Bloomberg.com/MiddleEast: the new regional edition of Bloomberg.com draws from Bloomberg’s current Middle East editorial team of 80.

VIDEO: Original Television Programming

  • Beginning in early May, Bloomberg Television begins broadcasting original content from its new, Dubai-based studio. Coverage will include regular live bulletins from Abu Dhabi.
  • New shows, Bloomberg Markets: Middle East, focusing on the region’s politics, markets, economies and companies, will air Sundays through Thursdays at 8am UAE.

  • Bloomberg Market’s global conference convenes the leaders and innovators who move markets, drive economies and make deals shaping the future of finance.
  • Abu Dhabi joins New York, London and Hong Kong as the latest financial center to host this elite event.

 

The Middle East launch is part of the continued expansion of Bloomberg Media’s global offerings. Earlier this month, BloombergQuint launched as a partnership with India’s Quintillion Multimedia to deliver news coverage and access to one of the world’s fastest growing economies. And Bloomberg TV Canada launched new regional market news and programming, such as The Daily Brief and Bloomberg North.
