On June 9, 2014, Bloomberg photographer Kelvin Ma will take home a New York Press Club Award for his photo of wheelchair-bound Jeff Bauman at the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. The photo won in the “Spot News Photo/Newswire” category. This is Kelvin’s second win for this photo. Last month he won a Sigma Delta Chi Award in the “Best Breaking News” category by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). He will be honored at the New York Press Club’s Awards and Installation of Officers Dinner on Monday, June 9th.
