More than 100 Firms Select Bloomberg TOMS for FINRA TRACE SP
\nReporting
\nNew York — Bloomberg Trading Solutions executives announced
\ntoday that more than 100 sell-side fixed income firms are using
\nBloomberg\u2019s Trade Order Management Solutions<\/a> (TOMS) to address
\nTrade Reporting and Compliance Engine<\/a> (TRACE) guidelines for
\nsecuritized products mandated by the Financial Industry
\nRegulatory Authority<\/a> (FINRA).
\nThe latest FINRA mandates require broker-dealers to report
\ntrades of securitized products such as asset backed securities
\n(ABSs), mortgage-backed securities (MBSs) and collateralized
\ndebt obligations (CDOs). Bloomberg TOMS helps them address these
\nrequirements by automating all aspects of trade capture,
\ninventory and risk management and straight-through processing.
\nThe solution also provides integration with the data, news and
\nanalytics on the Bloomberg Professional service.
\n\u201cJust before the last FINRA mandates were issued<\/a>, we saw a big
\nsurge in interest in our TRACE solution. Now, we have more than
\n100 fixed income dealers up and running on the system,\u201d said
\nMichael Wood, Global Head of Bloomberg TOMS. \u201cThe necessary
\nfunctionality for TRACE reporting is in place today, but with
\nDodd-Frank and other industry reforms on the horizon, we
\ncontinually review future requirements while considering the
\nworkflow of front, middle and back office professionals.\u201d
