Asia Risk staff and Asian investors selected Bloomberg for the
\ntop award for several achievements including:<\/p>\n

-Leading the evolution of the new offshore renminbi (CNH) market
\nby creating an industry working group for the introduction of
\nnew data, yield curves and reference rate services;<\/p>\n

-Developing a new code (CNH) to distinguish the offshore
\nrenminbi from the onshore renminbi (CNY) with the Bank of China,
\nHSBC and Standard Chartered. Bloomberg adopted the CNH code,
\ncaptured its price history and introduced a CNH bond listing and
\nbond index. The company also held a series of educational
\nevents on the new market;<\/p>\n

-Defining the new CNY derivatives market by initiating an
\nindustry working group of regulators, banks and market
\nparticipants and being first-to-market with onshore CNY tools
\nand data for portfolio valuation and risk analysis by the time
\nthe market launched in April of this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cCNH is a young market that has only developed since 2010. It is
\nalways difficult for traders working in this kind of market,
\nbecause liquidity is poor and the market is less transparent.
\nBloomberg has done a good job in helping us tackle these
\nissues,\u201d an official at one of the big four Chinese state-owned
\ncommercial banks says in the Asia Risk<\/a> article.<\/p>\n
