Yesterday\u2019s Major League Baseball <\/a>All-Star Game saw the best of the American\u00a0 and National Leagues together on one stage. Today, two other all-stars are taking the field: Bloomberg<\/a>, the most trusted source of information for financial professionals and businesses, and IMG<\/a>, the global leader in sports, fashion and media\u2014announced a new joint venture that will help expand the reach of \"\"<\/a>Bloomberg Sports <\/a>(which already partners with 24 Major
\nLeague Baseball teams, and more than 100 players and broadcasters).<\/p>\n

Through our partnership with IMG, we will provide the full power of our data and analytics capabilities around the\u00a0world. Among our plans are ventures in international professional soccer, cricket and an enhanced fantasy<\/a> product for NFL football.<\/p>\n

This partnership\u2014and the Bloomberg Sports business, itself\u2014would not have been possible without Bloomberg employees Bo Moon and JB Lee, who came up with the idea for Bloomberg Sports a little over three years ago. Bo and Jay were avid fantasy sports players, and saw the potential impact of applying Bloomberg’s core competencies of analytics and data to fantasy sports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bo and JB presented their plan to senior management, and were given the go-ahead to create this new division. Because of their inspired idea, and Bloomberg\u2019s technology and know-how, we can today deliver a unique best sports analysis product that can help everyone from team presidents to casual fantasy fans improve their performance.<\/p>\n

We are very excited to be working with IMG, and look forward to an exciting future together.<\/p>\n
