New York — Bloomberg L.P. today announced that Jason Schechter
\nwill join the company as chief communications officer.
\nSchechter, formerly chairman of the U.S. Corporate Practice at
\nBurson-Marsteller, will lead and coordinate Bloomberg\u2019s global
\ncommunications strategy across new and existing products and
\nmarkets as the company continues its growth. <\/p>\n

\ntarget audience becomes even more important,\u201d said Dan
\nDoctoroff, CEO and President of Bloomberg L.P. \u201cJason Schechter
\nhas demonstrated throughout his career the kind of innovative

At Burson-Marsteller, Schechter oversaw a team of nearly 80
\ncommunications professionals and provided strategic
\ncommunications counsel to leading companies across diverse
\nindustries including financial services, technology, media, and
\nprofessional services, as well as non-U.S. headquartered
\ninstitutions looking to build global brands. Previously
\nSchechter was a Senior Vice President at Robinson Lerer &
\nMontgomery (now RLM-Finsbury) where he counseled Fortune 500
\nclients through intensive situations including high-profile
\ncrises, corporate restructurings, financial transactions, and
\nexecutive transitions. Prior to joining RLM, Schechter was an
\nAssistant Press Secretary in the Clinton White House, serving as
\nan official spokesman to the President. <\/p>\n

Schechter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government
\nfrom Georgetown University. <\/p>\n
