As Bloomberg CEO Dan Doctoroff said at the recent FX13 Summit<\/a>, investors need a broad view of what\u2019s driving financial markets at any given time and they increasingly want to trade on market conditions outside of normal working hours.<\/p>\n

\"BloombergConscious of this trend, Bloomberg Tradebook<\/a> recently harnessed the innovative talents of our in-house technologists and rolled-out mobile trading capabilities for our institutional clients around the globe. This was not an easy feat for many reasons \u2013 not the least of which was transitioning from using six monitors to one. Bloomberg Tradebook clients across multiple markets can now trade futures, options, FX, and equity securities using the Bloomberg Anywhere App for iPad<\/a>. This is the first time institutional firms have used the Bloomberg Anywhere iPad App to both monitor the global financial markets and implement trade ideas.<\/p>\n

“Trade opportunities can come at any time of the day,” said Daniel Siluk of Kapstream Capital<\/a>, a fund manager in Australia. “The ability to trade via the iPad gives me the freedom and flexibility to trade and access the markets 24×7 from anywhere in the world.”<\/p>\n

Bloomberg Tradebook iPad functionality is connected to a client\u2019s compliance systems and offers order management connectivity and risk controls. The software is optimized for use on a desktop or tablet device. Its interface can display one security at a time, which means the design is uncomplicated and easy to navigate despite the smaller iPad screen.<\/p>\n

Luis Estrada, a derivatives trader at Mexican bank Ve Por Mas<\/a>, said about the new iPad trading capabilities, \u201cIt will be a valuable tool for those who do not have global desks and yet need access to the markets 24×7. [Tradebook] is always developing innovative solutions in orders, algorithms, and trade blocking, but this is by far [its] best accomplishment.”<\/p>\n
