Jakub Misiorny is a Software Developer for Bloomberg R&D and one of two Bloomberg mentors advising the StartupBusUK teams on their journey to Vienna. Here he shares his experiences so far.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"StartupBus<\/a>Day 4, Berlin: We\u2019re only half way on our journey to Pioneers Festival and the StartupBusUK contestants have already pitched their business concepts, formed teams, developed their ideas and built an early version of a working product. In the process, we have traveled more than 2000km, driven through four countries and stopped at some of Europe\u2019s most vibrant startup incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces along the way<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There hasn\u2019t been much time for sleep!<\/p>\n

Right now, the teams are making use of a stable WiFi connection at Berlin\u2019s RainmakingLoft<\/a> to code, de-bug and finesse their products before we hit the road again, making the final leg of our journey to Vienna and the winners\u2019 pitch at Pioneers.<\/p>\n

StartupBus is not just a hackathon, it\u2019s a business competition and the teams are now thinking carefully about how to market and scale their products. The teams\u2019 ability to communicate the value proposition for their products succinctly is as important as their developing skills.
