Team Macquarie Bank defended their championship title and won the grand prize of a S$10,000 donation to their favorite charitable cause, Hope House. Macquarie Bank generously matched the donation to support Hope House\u2019s mission of providing shelter and counsel to youths at risk.<\/p>\n<p>Saxo Capital Markets and Barclays came in second and third place, respectively. And Bloomberg\u2019s own Melvin Wong claimed the title of fastest individual, with a time of 4:24:33, beating last year\u2019s fastest runner from Morgan Stanley by 2\/10th of a second.<\/p>\n<p>The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is the ultimate corporate running race, where teams of 10 compete in a relay format. The race brings the business and financial community together in a spirit of friendly competition<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a fantastic event and it\u2019s great that Bloomberg brought it back to Singapore for another year. We had a lot of fun competing and catching up with our industry friends. On top of that, being able to donate S$10,000 for Hope House made it even more meaningful.\u201d said David Forrester, Captain for Team Macquarie Bank.<\/p>\n<p>The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is part of an international series that spans London, Singapore and Hong Kong.
