Sydney and Singapore \u2013 March 25, 2015, Bloomberg PolarLake announced today the expansion of its Enterprise Data Management (EDM) business to financial services companies and corporates in Asia and Australia.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg PolarLake\u2019s new Australian operations follow the establishment of its Singapore office to meet growing enterprise needs with regulatory requirements and greater demand for information controls.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg PolarLake is a comprehensive, vendor neutral, EDM service which enables financial services firms to acquire, manage, and distribute large volumes of financial data, thereby enhancing their ability for compliance and giving them greater visibility over assets and instruments.<\/p>\n

\u201cCompanies in Australia and Asia are dealing with an explosion of data within an increasingly demanding regulatory and reporting environment,\u201d said John Randles, Chief Executive, Bloomberg PolarLake. \u201cBloomberg PolarLake helps companies to aggregate, standardize and make sense of the information that they are receiving, all in one place. We have decided to bring our EDM model to Asia as demand is escalating for a comprehensive service that reduces operational costs and standardizes data processing for financial firms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bloomberg PolarLake collaborates with companies across the buy-side, sell-side, retail banking, treasury, superannuation and insurance to develop tailored data management solutions that can be managed on-site as \u2018data as a software\u2019 or managed by Bloomberg PolarLake, in part or entirely. It has defined a unique managed service model for EDM which helps firms manage enterprise data processing and administration without incurring costs of hardware maintenance and software upgrades.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntegrating a myriad of data into a single platform helps companies to compare information from multiple sources, identify anomalies and glean insights more quickly, efficiently and confidently,\u201d said Mr. Randles.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg LP acquired Dublin-based software provider PolarLake in 2012 as part of its entry into the enterprise data management business. In 2014, Bloomberg PolarLake was awarded Best EDM Systems Provider in Waters Annual Technology Rankings.<\/p>\n
