(Toronto, Ontario) Channel Zero, in partnership with Bloomberg, is pleased to announce the launch\u00a0of Bloomberg TV Canada<\/a>, the 24\/7 Canadian business and financial news television channel. Part of\u00a0Bloomberg\u2019s expansion into key global markets, the new channel combines local content with\u00a0Bloomberg\u2019s international news gathering to deliver high quality business, markets and economic\u00a0coverage in Canada and around the world.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg TV Canada<\/a> is available widely to Canadian viewers on the following services: Rogers\u00a0(Ontario and Atlantic) channel 81\/187, Cogeco (Ontario) 817, Telus 817, Shaw 141, Sasktel 368, MTS\u00a01146, Eastlink 664, and Shaw Direct 510 (Classic) and 153 (Advanced). Beginning today, the first locally-produced program broadcasting live from Bloomberg\u2019s studios at\u00a0Brookfield Place in the heart of Toronto\u2019s financial district is \u201cThe Daily Brief\u201d. Anchored by trusted\u00a0business journalist Pamela Ritchie<\/a>, the one-hour program airs weekdays at 4pm ET as the Canadian\u00a0markets close, wrapping up the trading day and profiling trends important to investors. \u201cThe Daily\u00a0Brief\u201d will also feature Canada\u2019s top CEOs and business leaders, creating a platform where they can\u00a0share their stories and provide first-hand insight on the biggest issues facing their industries to both\u00a0Canadian and global audiences.<\/p>\n

Starting in early January 2016, Bloomberg TV Canada will provide daily market and business news\u00a0updates live from the Toronto Stock Exchange between 8am and 2:30pm ET. Also in the first quarter\u00a0of 2016, \u201cBloomberg North\u201d, a new show will debut, featuring one of Canada\u2019s leading business news\u00a0journalists, Amanda Lang<\/a>. Airing weekdays at 6pm ET, the 30-minute program will provide analysis\u00a0on local and global business news and feature interviews with Canadian heavyweights.<\/p>\n
