Bloomberg announced today that its Chief Technology Officer, Shawn Edwards, has been recognized by Constellation Research as part of its inaugural 2024-2025 Artificial Intelligence 150 (AI150)<\/a>, a list of top executives leading AI transformation efforts around the globe. Each leader on the AI150 demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how the world is responding to artificial intelligence and how new technologies can be leveraged for future innovation.<\/p>\n

In his role as Bloomberg\u2019s CTO, Edwards sets the global technology strategy for the company, including driving enhancements to the company\u2019s technology infrastructure to strengthen its core business, the Bloomberg Professional Service. He and his team, in partnership with Bloomberg\u2019s global Product, Engineering, and Data teams, are instrumental in the ongoing development of Bloomberg\u2019s leading market data, analytics, news and community products. The team researches existing and emerging technologies and builds solutions in strategic areas \u2013 including artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

For more than 15 years, Bloomberg has been responsibly and effectively using AI to help process and organize the ever-increasing volume of structured and unstructured information needed to help financial organizations maximize their productivity and gain deeper business insights across their enterprise. This recognition highlights how the company\u2019s commitment to leading AI efforts in the financial industry comes from the top down.<\/p>\n
