New technical application predicts market volatility explosions<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Global Trading Indicators, in collaboration with Global Securities Colombia, today announced the availability of a new technical analysis application on the Bloomberg App Portal. The app is available to subscribers of the Bloomberg Professional service (Terminal) globally at {APPS<GO>}.<\/p>\n

The GTIndicators App is based on a theory called Volatility Explosion Relatively Adjusted (VERA), which adjusts the indicator signals when volatility explosions occur.\u00a0 The app is designed to warn when a moment of market explosion will occur, giving investors a signal so they can generate a new investment strategy.<\/p>\n

\u201cLately, abrupt market changes, such as gaps and high volatility, are more frequent. Technological developments accelerate and, in some cases, have magnified reactions to unpredictable events. This tool will improve the management of investment strategies,\u201d said Agust\u00edn Vera Torres, quantitative strategies director, Global Securities, Colombia.<\/p>\n

Investors in Colombia and other emerging markets will be able to quickly analyze drastic changes between the close of a day and the opening of the following day (GAPs) locally. This is particularly useful when immediate perspective is needed and European and Asian markets are closed, Torres added.<\/p>\n
