{"id":3613,"date":"2016-12-19T04:18:03","date_gmt":"2016-12-19T09:18:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/company\/press\/gbj-celebrates-10th-anniversary\/"},"modified":"2019-08-22T07:53:46","modified_gmt":"2019-08-22T11:53:46","slug":"gbj-celebrates-10th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"press","link":"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/company\/press\/gbj-celebrates-10th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Tsinghua Global Business Journalism Program Celebrates 10th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='bbg-row bbg-bg--white ' data-anchor='row-6a0507c9250a6'>\n  \n\t\n\t\n\t<div class=\"bbg-row--content\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class='bbg-column bbg-column--width-8 bbg-column--offset-2'>\n\t<div class='bb-wysiwyg'>\n    \n    <p>Tsinghua University\u2019s Global Business Journalism Program (GBJ) celebrated its 10th anniversary last week in Beijing with hosts including Matthew Winkler, co-founder and Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of Bloomberg News; Joyce Barnathan, president of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ); Professor Chen Changfeng, executive dean of the School of Journalism and Communication; and Associate Professor Hang Min, GBJ co-director.<\/p>\n<p>The event coincided with an upgrade for the Bloomberg Financial Lab at the School of Journalism and funding to expand the GBJ program, which now includes more than 300 masters-degree graduates.<\/p>\n<p>Started in September 2007 by the ICFJ and Tsinghua University, GBJ was the first international master\u2019s program in China created to foster top-notch business reporters and editors. GBJ alumni now work in top Chinese and international media organizations such as Bloomberg News, China Daily, CCTV, People\u2019s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, Newsweek China, and KBS.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg Editor-at-Large Lee Miller is a full-time, pro-bono professor for the program.
