The event, just two weeks following Chinese Premier Li Keqiang\u2019s visit to Germany, convened top Chinese and international market participants and financial institutions to discuss the opportunities and challenges of investing in China.<\/p>\n<p>China and Germany have enjoyed solid and stable relations in trade and investment, with trade volume between the two countries reaching 170 billion euros last year, making China Germany\u2019s largest trading partner. Over the last three years, China has been Germany\u2019s largest foreign direct investor, while Germany was among the first to pledge support for China\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative, and to join the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).<\/p>\n<p>Hubertus V\u00e4th, Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance e.V. delivered a keynote speech on German-China economic and financial collaboration. \u201cChina and Germany have enjoyed two firsts together. President Xi Jinping and Angela Merkel were the first to agree on establishing a European RMB-Clearing hub. Speakers from China AMC, Commerz Funds Solutions, Hefeng Family Office, ICBC, State Street, CEINEX and Bloomberg participated in subsequent panel discussions.<\/p>\n<p>The Frankfurt event is a key stop in Bloomberg \u201cChina: Navigate the New Silk Road\u201d investor roadshow in 2017.
