Algo Central, J.P. Morgan\u2019s next generation execution services tool for FX algos, is now available on the Bloomberg App Portal at {APPS <GO>}. By providing access to the Algo Central application on the Bloomberg App Portal, J.P. Morgan is extending its electronic FX trading services to its clients who use the Bloomberg Terminal service and offering additional choice for clients seeking FX algo execution.<\/p>\n

Algo Central, also available via the J.P. Morgan Markets Execute platform, provides access to the firm\u2019s comprehensive pre-trade, real-time, and post-trade analytics. The tool enables investors to manage multiple algo strategies simultaneously.<\/p>\n

Richard James, co-head of macro markets execution, J.P. Morgan said: \u201cAlgo Central gives clients easy access to our algo execution suite, which provides enhanced analytics and greater execution controls enabling them to amend and adjust their execution strategies in real-time. While Algo Central is available through our trading platform Execute, in order to enhance choice for our clients, the tool is also accessible on the Bloomberg App Portal. Integration with Bloomberg Terminal user authentication services and FX execution capabilities enables us to deliver a value-added service to the global financial community as a feature of the Terminal.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a recent survey from Greenwich Associates, FX algos have materially reduced the overall cost of trading FX for many investors and, as the buy-side becomes increasingly open to using algos, dealers are also investing in the necessary technology.<\/p>\n

James said: \u201cClient usage of FX algo strategies has grown at an unrivalled pace over the last 18 months, driven by increased awareness of the benefits of algo execution, a more analytical approach to evidencing best execution and advances in pre-trade TCA tools.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bloomberg Terminal subscribers globally can instantly access the Bloomberg App Portal at {APPS<GO>}, where they can search for dozens of applications that help users accomplish specific tasks, such as value and price securities, visualize and analyze data, or leverage new charting techniques. Applications can be licensed and operated from within the Bloomberg Terminal environment – without disrupting or interrupting their existing workflow.<\/p>\n

\u201cBloomberg\u2019s collaboration with J.P. Morgan is a prime example of the value clients receive when dealers integrate their proprietary analytics with the App Portal: an integrated workflow with functionality that they control, combined with the powerful combination of data and analytics of the Terminal,\u201d said Mike King, global business head for Bloomberg App Portal. \u201cAlgo Central is the first institutional FX algo execution services application offered by a global bank on the App Portal today.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bloomberg App Portal gives Bloomberg Terminal subscribers instantaneous access to a diverse library of financial tools provided both by Bloomberg and software developers from around the world.
