Technology training designed to help women succeed in the asset management industry<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bloomberg today announced it will be offering Python computer programming training to women to help them get promoted at asset management firms in Brazil.<\/p>\n

The program will provide free courses on Python<\/strong> and BQuant<\/a><\/strong>, a Bloomberg interactive development platform that helps rapidly generate insights from data. These skills are in high demand globally in the financial services industry.<\/p>\n

The initiative is led by the Bloomberg Women\u2019s Buy-Side Network Brazil Chapter<\/strong><\/a>, an organization created to help women enhance their careers in the asset management industry.\u00a0 The event will be organized Bloomberg Corporate Philanthropy<\/strong>, mentoring will be conducted by Bloomberg engineering staff, \u00a0and the course by Let\u2019s Code<\/strong><\/a>, an employment education company. Participants will have access to the Bloomberg Terminal<\/a>, the software used by the world\u2019s leading business and financial professionals.<\/p>\n

The event to launch the program will be held virtually on Thursday, June 2nd<\/sup> at 11am BRT and will feature a panel discussion. Speakers include Tatiana Vasone<\/strong>, Chief Revenue Officer of Let’s Code, and Giovanna Marinelli<\/strong>, a partner at Velt Partners. The discussion will be moderated by Yasmin Silva<\/strong>, who heads Bloomberg Enterprise Data sales In Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay.
