Grauer, has signed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weareallhuman.org\/promise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hispanic Promise<\/a>, the first-of-its-kind national pledge to hire, promote, retain and celebrate Hispanics in the workplace. By joining more than 150 other corporations in a public commitment to champion Hispanics in the U.S. workplace, Bloomberg is reinforcing its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/company\/values\/inclusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">company-wide effort to promote inclusion globally<\/a>, including initiatives to source and advance underrepresented talent throughout the company.<\/p>\n<p>Launched at the World Economic Forum in 2019 in Davos, Switzerland by the We Are All Human Foundation, the Hispanic Promise is a non-legally binding sign of intention, result of the joint effort of multiple Hispanic Organizations as a call to action for business leaders and companies of Corporate America to create a more inclusive work environment for Hispanics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBloomberg joins the growing movement of companies that are creating a more inclusive environment for Hispanics,\u201d said Grauer. \u201cThis pledge affirms Bloomberg\u2019s commitment to supporting our Latinx employees, ensuring they feel valued and, above all, heard in our diverse and inclusive workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/assets.bbhub.io\/company\/sites\/51\/2020\/09\/Hispanic-Promise-PG-Signed.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-10023\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.bbhub.io\/company\/sites\/51\/2020\/09\/Hispanic-Promise-PG-Signed.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"825\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<div class='bb-wysiwyg'>\n    \n    <p>In order to increase representation of Latinx employees in its U.S. workforce, especially in management roles, Bloomberg has taken steps ensuring access to development and growth opportunities at every stage of their careers, promoting real and sustained conversations about race to foster inclusion, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/company\/values\/inclusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">focusing on the business case for ethnic i<\/a>nclusion, as well as the moral one.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the many ongoing initiatives developed and led by Bloomberg\u2019s global Inclusion teams that focus on the hiring, promotion, retention, development and celebration of Latinx employees include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Investing in more inclusive hiring practices \u2013<\/strong> this includes the creation of dedicated diversity recruiting and sourcing teams to seek out talent for both entry-level and experienced roles from various ethnicities, such as the Latinx community. They are focused on reaching out to Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) in order to source talent from schools that serve large populations of Latinx and Hispanic students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Building strategic partnerships with global partners and non-profits \u2013 <\/strong>to broaden and strengthen our pipeline of diverse talent at all levels, our inclusion, recruitment, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/company\/values\/philanthropy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">corporate philanthropy<\/a> teams are collaborating closely with our partners in the Latinx community. Some of the company\u2019s partners include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alpfa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/projectbasta.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Project Basta<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/perscholas.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Per Scholas<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shpe.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promoting academic achievement and career readiness \u2013<\/strong> many <strong>Bloomberg Startup<\/strong> programs reach Latinx and other underserved youth in cities where we live and work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Leadership development programs \u2013<\/strong> Our <strong>Growth, Opportunities, Access, and Leadership (GOAL) 1.0 program<\/strong>, which was started in 2016 in EMEA and was recently adapted for the Americas and Asia, has helped enhance the careers of both women and ethnically diverse employees.
