Nineteen\u00a0charities are involved in Bloomberg Tradebook\u2019s 4th annual charity day event\u00a0this Wednesday, November 4<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bloomberg Tradebook\u2019s fourth annual Charity Day<\/a> takes place on November 4, and this year it\u2019s bigger and more global than ever. Celebrity ambassadors<\/a> will join Bloomberg employees on the trading desk in New York, London, and Hong Kong to take client calls as they raise money for the 19 charities involved across the world. Net trading commissions will be donated to charities that support a diverse range of causes such as public health and human services, medical research, community outreach, environmental conservation and youth development.<\/p>\n

Founder of Bloomberg LP Michael R. Bloomberg said, \u201cCharity Day is just one example of the strong commitment to giving back that helps define who we are as a company. By raising money for a wide variety of worthy causes, this event allows Bloomberg to help more people in need \u2014 and make an even bigger difference in countries around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the last three years, Bloomberg Tradebook<\/a> has raised more than $2.7 million in trading commissions to support charitable causes. In an effort to raise more money this year, Bloomberg Tradebook will add commission dollars earned through futures trading in addition to those generated through equities, \u00a0options and FX trading. Bloomberg\u2019s Sao Paulo office will be involved this year through local service projects and engagement with Brazil-based charity The Brazil Foundation<\/a>, which will also receive a portion of the net commissions generated on Charity Day.<\/p>\n

In addition, other parts of Bloomberg are getting involved in the spirit of the day. For the first time this year, Bloomberg Trading Solutions<\/a> will donate 10 cents for every trade record processed through its order management systems AIM, TOMS and SSEOMS on the day of the event and, during the month of October, Trading Solutions<\/a> will donate 1 percent of its overall sales.<\/p>\n
