Bloomberg 35 is a series celebrating our company\u2019s 35th anniversary, by spotlighting 35 of our non-profit partners and the people at Bloomberg who help these organizations reach their goals.<\/p>\n

Last month, we featured three of our partner organizations<\/a> with local efforts near Bloomberg\u2019s New York headquarters. Here, we highlight some of our earliest global partners, with missions that span the globe.<\/p>\n

Room to Read<\/strong>
\nRoom to Read\u00a0<\/a>envisions a world in which all children can pursue a quality education, reach their full potential, and contribute to their community and the world.<\/p>\n

Since 2008, Bloomberg has helped Room to Read\u2019s quest by publishing local-language books in India, funding the creation of half a million books in 10 languages, supporting Room to Read\u2019s Girls\u2019 Education Program in Asia and by providing reading materials to youth in South Africa.<\/p>\n

\"RoomRead\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bloomberg and our employees partner with Room to Read, providing children in the Americas, Asia and Africa with the life skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere is no more fundamental skill than the ability to read. Without it, participating meaningfully in the global economy is an impossibility. Tate Modern<\/strong>
\nTate Modern\u00a0<\/a>is one of the world\u2019s most dynamic museums committed to offering new ways for visitors to enjoy and engage with modern and contemporary art.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg Philanthropies has supported Tate Modern since the gallery opened in 2000, by developing cutting-edge digital tools for interactive visitor experiences \u2013 including the first hand-held digital tour, which won a BAFTA Award for technical innovation.<\/p>\n

\"Through<\/a><\/p>\n

Through our Bloomberg Connects initiative, we\u2019ve launched mobile apps, immersive displays and dynamic tools<\/a> \u2013 like the Drawing Bar and interactive Timeline of Modern Art \u2013 for Tate visitors to engage with art in a whole new way.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders)
\n<\/strong>Medecins Sans Frontieres\u00a0<\/a>(MSF) \u2013 also known as Doctors Without Borders \u2013 provides medical and humanitarian aid worldwide to people with the greatest needs, including delivering rapid response disaster relief during natural disasters, epidemics, conflicts and famines.<\/p>\n

\"Bloomberg<\/a><\/p>\n

Bloomberg has supported MSF since 1999 and our employees have been involved in raising money for emergency response and volunteering time to help those in need.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The British Museum<\/strong>
\nThe\u00a0British Museum\u00a0<\/a>has one of the world\u2019s largest and most comprehensive collections of works dedicated to human history and culture. They reach different audiences in the UK through initiatives and digital innovation including an online database of 3.5 million objects from their collections.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg has supported the British Museum since 2002, including making special exhibitions \u2014 like the acclaimed Field for the British Isles \u2013 possible.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
