He also has presented to senior executives from Goldman Sachs and Bloomberg regarding the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/philanthropy\/blog\/supporting-small-businesses-coaching-growth-co-hosted-bloomberg-goldman-sachs-event\/?utm_source=mktgwebsite&amp;utm_medium=diversityblog&amp;utm_content=emp_abilities&amp;utm_campaign=A\">10,000 Small Businesses program<\/a>. These accomplishments are driven by his determination, and his humility in wanting to be seen just like everyone else makes him \u2013 unbeatable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready &amp; adaptable.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34453 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/data.bloomberglp.com\/company\/sites\/4\/2017\/10\/Mary_Quinn_DSC_3354_mini-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"Mary Quinn\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">My name is <strong>Mary Quinn.<\/strong><br \/>\nI am <strong>visually impaired.<\/strong><br \/>\nIt means I rely on assistive technology to do my job.<br \/>\nAnd a great memory to navigate the office.<br \/>\nIt means I\u2019m more perceptive.<br \/>\nA more creative thinker.<br \/>\nAnd more aware of the value collaboration unlocks.<br \/>\nBecause an open and supportive environment.<br \/>\nIs the key to helping all employees find success.<br \/>\nWhether they have a disability or not.<\/p>\n<p>Mary is the HR Business Partner for the Trading &amp; Analytics department in Engineering and the CTO office. She works with leaders to understand the people-related challenges and help them devise strategies on how to overcome them, maximizing the success of employees. She attributes much of her success at Bloomberg to her managers and colleagues, who advocate for her. From tactical things like reading information that she can\u2019t see and access to assistive technology, to a workplace environment that is open to and supportive of people with disabilities. Mary was recently featured in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/07\/11\/style\/alexa-amazon-echo.html\">New York Times article<\/a> on accessibility technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready &amp; achievable.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-34454 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/data.bloomberglp.com\/company\/sites\/4\/2017\/10\/Kfir_Shtrosberg-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Kfir Shtrosberg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">My name is <strong>Kfir Shtrosberg.<\/strong><br \/>\nMy three-year-old son was born <strong>deaf.<\/strong><br \/>\nMy passion is making sure his generation.<br \/>\nAvoids the workplace barriers we\u2019re tackling today.<br \/>\nThat means organizing awareness days.<br \/>\nAnd giving managers the tools and understanding.<br \/>\nTo help all employees reach their potential.<br \/>\nBecause people with disabilities are no less able.<br \/>\nAnd a truly inclusive environment.<br \/>\nCan have a real commercial impact.<\/p>\n<p>Kfir works in our London office and leads the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/professional\/product\/pricing-data\/?utm_source=mktgwebsite&amp;utm_medium=diversityblog&amp;utm_content=emp_abilities&amp;utm_campaign=A\">Bloomberg Valuation (BVAL)<\/a> team for the European and Asian markets. As a team leader, he has observed that employees often feel uncomfortable disclosing their disability. Since many disabilities are invisible, this can be unnoticed by managers. Once a manager is aware of the disability, they often don\u2019t have the right tools or knowledge on how to correctly handle it. Being on the Content Marketing team allows her to utilize the spontaneous creativity that comes with having ADHD in her work, like using Bloomberg Terminal socks in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bloomberglp\/videos\/10154365498993003\/?permPage=1\">holiday social post<\/a>. He collects and maintains funds market data for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/careers\/blog\/understanding-bloomberg-and-the-terminal\/?utm_source=mktgwebsite&amp;utm_medium=diversityblog&amp;utm_content=emp_abilities&amp;utm_campaign=A\">Bloomberg Terminal<\/a> and answers client questions about funds data or related Terminal functions. His manager is always making sure he can successfully perform his job whether that\u2019s sending him notes after a meeting or being able to work from home.
