Amy shares insight on how she’s managed to ‘make a way’ for herself at the company over the years. From the many growth phases she’s experienced; her most vital lessons learned; and unexpected opportunities that presented her greatest challenges and successes, Amy takes us behind the scenes on her career journey.

Starting in Global Customer Support after receiving a demonstration of the Terminal, at the recommendation of her roommate, Amy credits her first role as the entry point to understanding how to provide value to our clients.

“When I joined Bloomberg, everyone in Sales had to do customer service phone calls because it was a fundamental belief (and it still is) that providing client value is important in our business. You do that first by picking up phone calls and learning what departments exist in the firm and who to go to for help. That’s what differentiates us from our competitors.”

After spending a short time in Global Customer Support, Amy moved into Analytics where she learned about the product, mainly the Terminal, then Sales. It was during this time that she had to determine the path she wanted to take. To do Terminal Sales or not?
