The Right Research – Anytime, Anywhere

October 21, 2015

Living in the information age is both a luxury and a challenge. There is comfort in knowing that you have access to and can discover new ideas and opportunities. The challenge for analysts and other buy-side professionals is ensuring they have access to what is relevant to them. And easy access to research on-the-go is critical for making effective investment decisions.

Bloomberg understands this. Our research product acts as a central repository for research not only at your desk but also now on a mobile device. Today, we provide access to research from 1,500 brokers and independent providers. Bloomberg Professional service subscribers can search, save and share research generated from an in-house team,  an investment bank or independent research provider through the {BRC<GO>} and {RES<GO>} functions and their iOS mobile devices.

With Bloomberg’s expanded mobile capabilities, investors can also now access research anytime, anywhere. For instance, as soon as a report is marked as a “bookmark” from the desktop it will be automatically added into the Bloomberg Anywhere mobile app. In addition, tags and notes can also be added and synced with desktop devices or shared with the rest of a team.

Bloomberg’s new functionality allows research teams to do the following:

  • Quickly search for research content by topic, security, people, sources and keywords, and easily save searches for global access across desktop and mobile;
  • Filter research content by companies, report size, date range and analyst action to focus on the content that is most important;
  • Browse research across several categories, including the most popular research reports, recent securities, and internal research; and,
  • Discuss and test ideas with colleagues or industry contacts across mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

The new research functions are now available at no additional cost to subscribers on the iPhone and iPad via the Bloomberg Anywhere app, which can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store. They will be available for Android devices in the near future. Professional Service subscribers can learn more by going to {RESH<GO>}.
