Our Passion: Designing the Bloomberg User Experience

Bloomberg customers rely on us every day to provide essential real time data, analytics and information, and the user experience is critical. With billions of dollars at stake in the global financial markets, we need to operate creatively, nimbly and definitively. At Bloomberg the design challenges we face are both complex and vast, and our passionate and dedicated UX team lives to solve them. This team defines the user experience – on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones – for the over 320,000 subscribers of the Bloomberg Professional service (aka The Terminal).

To provide a glimpse into how we approach the UX design process, as well as retain and recruit some of the top talent in the industry, we have put together a brief video highlighting both our approach and a unique partnership we have with Carnegie Mellon University’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute (a program that recently celebrated its 20th year).
