Bloomberg Women’s Buy-Side Network Brazil Offers Python Bootcamp

Technology training designed to help women succeed in the asset management industry
Bloomberg today announced it will be offering Python computer programming training to women to help them get promoted at asset management firms in Brazil.
The program will provide free courses on Python and BQuant, a Bloomberg interactive development platform that helps rapidly generate insights from data. These skills are in high demand globally in the financial services industry.
The initiative is led by the Bloomberg Women’s Buy-Side Network Brazil Chapter, an organization created to help women enhance their careers in the asset management industry. The event will be organized Bloomberg Corporate Philanthropy, mentoring will be conducted by Bloomberg engineering staff, and the course by Let’s Code, an employment education company. Participants will have access to the Bloomberg Terminal, the software used by the world’s leading business and financial professionals.
The event to launch the program will be held virtually on Thursday, June 2nd at 11am BRT and will feature a panel discussion. Speakers include Tatiana Vasone, Chief Revenue Officer of Let’s Code, and Giovanna Marinelli, a partner at Velt Partners. The discussion will be moderated by Yasmin Silva, who heads Bloomberg Enterprise Data sales In Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay. To join the event, please sign up via this link.
