Bloomberg Takes Home Fourth Consecutive Win for Best Pricing and Analytics Provider at SRP Americas Awards 2024

September 26, 2024

Bloomberg also awarded Best Structured Products Technological Solution for the second time

Bloomberg is pleased to announce it was awarded Best Pricing and Analytics Provider and Best Structured Products Technological Solution at the 2024 Structured Retail Products (SRP) Americas Awards. This marks Bloomberg’s fourth consecutive Best Pricing and Analytics Provider win at SRP Americas, alongside five additional SRP Europe wins in the Best Pricing and Analytics Provider category.

The SRP Awards recognize industry-leading achievements in the structured products and index annuity markets, spanning manufacturers, distributors and providers. The growing archive of these global acknowledgments serves as a marker of Bloomberg’s long-standing excellence in offering solutions that provide clients with crucial data and analytics to modernize workflows.

Bloomberg’s structured products solution is part of Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS), a suite of risk management tools designed to assess and manage exposure for firms from front to back office. MARS’ extensive Derivatives Library (DLIB) enables users at all levels to structure, price and share trade deals as well as aggregate portfolios and perform scenario analysis and backtesting, all in one place.

Underpinning DLIB is Bloomberg’s scripting language for modeling derivative contracts, which can be used to create and validate custom payoff structures, providing clients with increased flexibility for idea generation and template construction. Clients also use this domain-specific language (DSL) to model cash flows for alternative assets according to market sensitivity.

“We are motivated to innovate where the implications are significant and this win is an acknowledgement of the advancements in our offerings,” said Chase van der Rhoer, Head of Structured Products & Derivatives Pricing at Bloomberg. “Bloomberg is well positioned to tackle client challenges with our leading-edge solutions.”

The continued enhancements to the underlying machine learning algorithms and advanced quant models in Bloomberg’s structured pricing and analytics solution have also been integral in meeting client needs. With better integrated workflows increasingly available through APIs, clients can provide deeper transparency in reporting and make more informed, consistent decisions that best match their risk and return profile.
