Bloomberg Hosts First Enterprise Technology Summit in London

November 22, 2011

LONDON — Bloomberg LINK is convening some of Europe’s most
influential technology leaders and executives from leading
companies in the financial services industry for the first-
ever Bloomberg Enterprise Technology Summit in London.

The Summit, to be held on December 6th at London’s Millbank
Tower, will feature panel discussions and one-on-one
interviews designed to get to the core of the issues most
relevant to CTOs, CIOs and senior executives making the
decision on where, when and how much to invest in
technology.

Speakers at the Summit will examine how Europe’s sovereign
debt crisis is impacting investments in IT infrastructure
and priorities, as well as how the region’s financial
companies are managing, analyzing and securing large and
complex volumes of information. Among other topics,
participants will debate whether or not Europe is lagging
behind North America in moving to the cloud, the best
platforms for trade execution and the most efficient
technology to handle the demands of high frequency trading.

The Summit will also explore two decades of disruptive
innovation in the technology and financial services
industries, and will focus on whether or not European
companies have the innovative juice necessary to gain
advantages via technology, as competition becomes more
intense and ever more global.

Key speakers include:

-Russell M. Artzt, Vice Chairman and Founder, CA
Technologies

-Tom Burns, EVP and President, Enterprise and Strategic

“Over the last year, we’ve seen a lot of activity in the
way that financial services organizations in Europe are
using technology, and real evidence showing how it can
shape their business, which is why we’ve launched our first
Enterprise Technology Summit in London,” said Robert
Bierman, head of Bloomberg LINK. “The event will bring
together the most forward-thinking and innovative
specialists in this space and generate some lively debate
on what role technology plays in an industry that has never
been under so much speculation and scrutiny.”

This event is being sponsored by IDA Ireland and SAS.
