Bloomberg and HKCAMA Announce Winners of Offshore China Fund Awards 2023

Hong Kong – Bloomberg and the China Asset Management Association of Hong Kong (HKCAMA) announced the winners at their ninth annual Offshore China Fund Awards. A total of 38 awards were distributed to firms for their outstanding performance and contributions to China’s offshore fund industry. The fund performance awards were given based on data compiled by Bloomberg and calculated using proprietary methodologies.

Coming together to discuss Hong Kong’s pivotal role in the opening up of the Chinese market, leading offshore Chinese asset managers and industry experts from across the Greater Bay Area attended the awards ceremony in Hong Kong last week. The event included speeches from industry regulators, discussions on asset allocation and insights from leading industry figures on innovation and AI, contemporary best practices, and their perspectives on the future of the sector.

Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, noted in this speech, “The scale of Hong Kong’s asset and wealth management is huge. The city is Asia’s largest hedge-fund center and the second-largest center for private equity management after the Mainland. Hong Kong is also a popular destination for global family offices and wealth owners. On financial cooperation in the Greater Bay Area, the enhanced ‘Wealth Management Connect’ has been officially implemented to further facilitate diverse asset allocation for residents of the two places. Looking ahead, Hong Kong will continue to enhance the competitiveness of the asset and wealth management industry to serve the needs of national development and global investors.”
