Health and well-being
Comprehensive medical insurance
Our employer provided comprehensive medical plan provided through CIGNA Hong Kong supports our employees and dependents with in-hospital and outpatient expenses of general physicians and specialists from your first day of employment. Coverage is provided up to USD 1 million per year for inpatient and outpatient services.
Telehealth
Connect to telemedicine service for 24/7 access to clinical healthcare for you and your dependents. Doctors can diagnose, recommend treatment and prescribe medication for common ailments.
Dental plan
Dental coverage is provided up to USD 1,000 per person per year. Basic services, such as general dental preventative services are covered in full, with partial coverage for major restorative and orthodontic care, depending on the treatment.
Vision care plan
Our Vision care plan provides coverage for eye exams and optical prescriptions and appliances (i.e., glasses and contact lenses) up to USD 150 per year.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Bloomberg employees and their dependents have access to confidential, short-term (up to nine visits) counseling; referral services are available to assist you and your family in working through problems, learning about available options, and finding solutions. Areas covered include marital difficulties, financial concerns, stress, anxiety, and other areas that may affect mental health.
Emergency medical & security evacuation
As a Bloomberg employee, if you experience a business or personal travel-related emergency outside of your country of domicile or while on a short-term overseas assignment, emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help.
Ergonomics
A program is available to provide you with the knowledge, resources and tools needed for a safe and comfortable work environment. You have access to an online risk assessment as well as virtual or on-site desk assessments by a certified ergonomist.

Finance
Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF)
To help plan for retirement, the Bloomberg plan requires both the employer and employee to make monthly contributions. Employees can also make voluntary contributions (salary sacrifice). Bloomberg will match 50% of your voluntary contributions, up to an annual match of HKD 53,000.
Financial wellness
All employees have access to a financial advisor who can assist with your retirement planning needs. They also offer several webinars throughout the year to support your future financial planning as it relates to your retirement.
Life insurance
Bloomberg provides life insurance coverage against death and total permanent disability due to any cause. Coverage provides up to 3x annual base salary.
Long-term disability insurance (LTD)
LTD offers a wage replacement if you become totally disabled and cannot perform your duties or engage in an occupation due to illness, injury or accident. Coverage is 60% of basic monthly salary while you qualify under the policy provisions, subject to a limit.
Rental reimbursement scheme
Bloomberg provides a tax efficient rental reimbursement scheme allowing employees to designate a certain percentage of their basic monthly salary as rent expenditure. You can elect to participate on an annual basis.
Well-being rewards
Bloomberg provides reimbursement for eligible well-being related expenses. Qualified expenses include gym fees, personal trainer sessions and group activity classes.
Tuition reimbursements
In addition to providing on-the-job training, courses and programs, Bloomberg provides a tuition reimbursement program of up to $12,000 per calendar year for all job- and business-related courses, including certifications.
Family and life
Time off
Bloomberg offers 20 paid time-off days each year. We also provide leaves of absence to address a variety of personal situations, including family and medical emergencies, jury duty, and more.
Fertility support
Through our healthcare plan, Bloomberg offers a lifetime benefit of $20,000 for coverage of fertility treatments and in vitro fertilization.
Adoption Assistance
Bloomberg provides reimbursement for eligible adoption-related costs.
Parental leave
Bloomberg offers up to 26 weeks of 100% paid, gender-neutral, parental leave for the primary caregiver to bond and care for your newborn, surrogate or adopted child from day one. Employees are also eligible to apply for unpaid parental leave in line with Government guidelines. Non-primary caregivers are eligible for 4 weeks of 100% paid leave.
Maternity support program
Your CIGNA medical plan covers 90% of all maternity-related expenses, including childbirth, prenatal and postnatal exams. Bloomberg provides access to mother’s room facilities equipped with a sink, refrigerator, and other amenities.
Paternal support program
Our program provides support for parents and those with care-giving responsibilities , offering dedicated individual sessions to help the transition to parenthood or in navigating other challenges. We also offer a robust transition plan for parents returning to the workplace and an internal buddy program with existing Bloomberg employees and parents.
