Health and well-being
Comprehensive medical plan
Our employer-provided medical plan supports our employees and dependents with in-hospital medical coverage, up to 100% of the Government’s fee schedule (covered partly through the plan and partly through Medicare).
Dental plan
Dental coverage is provided up to AUD 1,700 per year. Basic services, such as general dental preventative services are covered in full, with partial coverage for major and orthodontic care, depending on the treatment.
Vision care plan
Our Vision care plan provides coverage for optical prescriptions and appliances (i.e., glasses and contact lenses) up to AUD 350 per year.
Telehealth
Bloomberg employees and dependents have access to telehealth consultations and medical support. Extra services may be covered, where available, at their chosen clinic.
Medical Insurance Advisors
We offer free access to a third-party medical insurance advisor to assist you in navigating your medical insurance plan — whether your questions relate to coverage, reimbursements, or eligible medical providers.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Bloomberg employees and their dependents have access to confidential, short-term (up to nine visits) counseling; referral services are available to assist you and your family in working through problems, learning about available options, and finding solutions. Areas covered include marital difficulties, financial concerns, stress, anxiety, and other areas that may affect mental health.
Emergency medical & security evacuation
As a Bloomberg employee, if you experience a business or personal travel-related emergency outside of your country of domicile or while on a short-term overseas assignment, emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help.
Ergonomics
A program is available to provide you with the knowledge, resources and tools needed for a safe and comfortable work environment. You have access to an online risk assessment as well as virtual or on-site desk assessments by a certified ergonomist. Support for special equipment can be provided based on individual ergonomic needs.

Finance
Superannuation plan
We offer a competitive Superannuation Plan to help you plan for your retirement. Bloomberg contributes on your behalf equal to the Superannuation Guarantee. In addition, you can make voluntary contributions (salary sacrifice), with Bloomberg matching a certain percentage up to an annual cap.
Group Life, Terminal Illness and Disability insurance
Group Life, Terminal Illness and Disability coverage is designed to provide insurance against death and total permanent disability due to any cause. Coverage provides up to 3x annual base salary.
Long-Term Salary Continuance Insurance (LTSCI)
LTSCI offers a wage replacement if you become totally disabled and cannot perform your duties or engage in an occupation due to illness, injury, or accident.
Well-being rewards
Bloomberg provides reimbursement for eligible well-being-related expenses. Qualified expenses include gym membership fees, group activities and exercise classes, up to an annual maximum.

At no cost, you have access to Financial Advisors; they can meet at your convenience to assist with your individual financial planning needs.

Time off
Bloomberg offers 20 paid time-off days each year. We also provide leaves of absence to address a variety of personal situations, including family and medical emergencies, jury duty, and more.
Adoption & surrogacy assistance
Bloomberg provides reimbursement for eligible adoption-related costs.
Parental leave
Bloomberg offers up to 26 weeks of 100% paid, gender-neutral, parental leave for the primary caregiver to bond and care for your newborn, surrogate or adopted child from day one. Employees are also eligible to apply for unpaid parental leave, in line with Government guidelines. Non-primary caregivers are eligible for 4 weeks of 100% paid leave.
Parental support program
Our program provides support for parents and those with care-giving responsibilities, offering dedicated individual sessions to help the transition to parenthood or in navigating other challenges. We also offer a robust transition plan for parents returning to the workplace and an internal buddy program with existing Bloomberg employees and parents.
