Bloomberg Expands its New Voices Initiative to Washington DC and Singapore

January 23, 2020

Bloomberg announced the expansion of its New Voices media training initiative to Washington DC and Singapore during a reception at Bloomberg’s New York headquarters on January 14th.

Bloomberg L.P. Chairman Peter T. Grauer, who is the founding chairman of the U.S. 30% Club, said at the event: “I am proud to say that we can show real progress. Through the New Voices Program we’ve provided training to more than 150 female executives in business and finance in eight major cities around the world. The representation of women on Bloomberg Television has more than doubled. And as the news division launches a third year of this impactful program, we’re adding two additional cities for the training: Singapore and Washington DC, and pushing the goalposts even further.”

Bloomberg News launched the program in 2018 with the goal of increasing representation of women experts and opinions in the media industry. New Voices provides one-on-one media training for top women executives in finance and business with the goal of getting the women TV-ready for interviews on Bloomberg Television and other outlets.
