Recipients of the Bloomberg Singapore D4GX Grant from Art:DIS, CaringSG, Dover Park Hospice, Home for Good Singapore, Rainbow Centre, and Ray of Hope
Singapore, September 3, 2025 – Bloomberg has announced the recipients of its Data for Good Exchange (D4GX) grant and accelerator program in Singapore. Six local charities have each been awarded S$60,000, along with access to a three-month mentorship initiative pairing them with data experts. The purpose of the award is to help charities utilize data to improve operations and community impact.
The six winning charities— Art:DIS, CaringSG, Dover Park Hospice, Home for Good Singapore, Rainbow Centre and Ray of Hope – work across the fields of human welfare, disabilities, family and well-being. All six participated in the D4GX Summit held in June, where they engaged in hands-on workshops designed to develop fundamental data competencies.
As part of the D4GX program, each charity will identify a data challenge they aim to address with the program’s funding and support. These include acquiring digital skills, using appropriate digital tools for data measurement, and analyzing operational data to clearly communicate their impact to stakeholders, funders, and the communities they serve.
The recipients were selected based on clarity and solvability of their data challenge, feasibility of data solutions and the measurable impact for the organization and broader community following the conclusion of the program. All six charities have shown strong interest in how data can enhance support for Singapore communities, in line with the updated Smart Nation 2.0 vision.
Over the course of the three-month accelerator program from September to December, each charity will benefit from more than ten hours of customized mentorship around core data competencies including data strategy, unification, integration and storytelling; impact measurement framework design and implementation; as well as analytics and reporting.
With support from D4GX program partner TalentTrust and mentor partners at GIC, Standard Chartered, and UBS, participating charities will work with in-house data experts at Bloomberg and financial industry mentors to develop and apply data-driven solutions that address their specific requirements.
“77% of charities in our D4GX 2025 Cohort identified a lack of data literacy as the biggest barrier in leveraging data effectively, and this is where Bloomberg can help,” said Vandna Ramchandani, Regional Head of Corporate Philanthropy Asia Pacific at Bloomberg, “The D4GX grant and accelerator program will equip charities with resources to scale and futureproof their operations and we at Bloomberg are committed to supporting them throughout this journey and beyond.”
“Singapore is celebrating SG60 and we all have a part to play in coming together to support Forward SG,” shared Kelvin Cen, Head of Southeast Asia at Bloomberg, “Data can help unlock innovative solutions for tomorrow and the D4GX grant and accelerator program will provide the social sector with access to data experts and a support network to achieve maximum impact and together build a stronger Singapore for years to come.”
Lisa Gainer, Chief Executive Officer of TalentTrust added, “D4GX is unique as it fills a much-needed gap around data skills and funding in Singapore’s social sector. As program partner for the D4GX grant and accelerator program, we will offer up our expertise in charity capacity-building and alongside Bloomberg and data experts, together deliver tailored and actionable outcomes that can help charities upskill and move the dial on their impact.”
At the beginning of the year, Bloomberg invited all Singapore-registered charities to apply for the D4GX program. Applicants were asked to outline their growth strategies and pinpoint a digital or data challenge they aimed to tackle. The call for applications attracted interest from charities all across Singapore. 53 were selected to form the D4GX 2025 Cohort.
The Cohort will have the opportunity to upskill around data visualization, building a data culture and data storytelling for greater impact throughout 2025 as part of the D4GX Learning Community.
