Bloomberg’s Teams Come in First at the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon
October 13, 2015
On November 11, our men and women’s teams won first place in their categories during the Bloomberg-supported Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.
One hundred and sixty teams of 10 participated in this year’s race, cheered on by more than 50,000 spectators, making it one of the UK’s most popular running events.
The participants ran across the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.
Bloomberg sponsored 100 runners to participate and hosted 150 employees, their families and clients at a hospitality tent in the runners village.
Additionally, 25 Bloomberg employees volunteered to support the Royal Parks Foundation and the runners throughout the day.
Over the last seven years the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon has raised over £20 million for more than 500 UK charities, including the Royal Parks Foundation, Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, Scope, and Tommy’s.
Bloomberg has supported the Royal Parks Foundation since 2005.
