Bloomberg Takes Home Three Waters Rankings Awards
July 16, 2021
Bloomberg is excited to announce that we have been selected by WatersTechnology’s subscribers as the Best Sell Side Order Management System (OMS) Provider, Best Market Data Provider and Best Reference Data Provider at the Waters Rankings Awards 2021. The Waters Rankings is the only awards program where category winners are determined exclusively by WatersTechnology’s readers.
This is the sixth year in a row that Bloomberg TOMS has won for Best Sell Side Order Management System Provider. TOMS strength lies in providing sell-side firms with robust multi-asset OEMS functionality as well as integrated data, pricing, automated market-making tools and connectivity. We continually enhance TOMS with next generation tools, including automation functionality and data science-driven analytics, and winning this award once again demonstrates we deliver great value to our customers.
This is also the third year in a row that Bloomberg has won a Waters Ranking award for Best Market Data Provider. This award highlights how Bloomberg continues to expand the depth and breadth of our data, bring innovation to the market data space and deliver the highest quality customer service. In addition to our commitment to high quality, reliable market data, Bloomberg remains committed to supporting our customers with flexible delivery options. The Bloomberg Market Data Feed (BPIPE) enables global connectivity to normalized market data and is now natively available via all major public cloud providers.
Bloomberg also won a Waters Rankings award for Best Reference Data Provider. Bloomberg continues to enhance our reference data offering while staying ahead of market trends and satisfying our clients’ increased demand for comprehensive high quality foundational data. Given the market volatility of 2020 and increased regulatory demand for data, including for example Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB), clients need reliable and ready-to-use reference data more than ever. Bloomberg is able to provide this by continuously expanding our offering and through enhancements to existing products.
“Having access to high quality market data and static data from a single interface is crucial to prepare for regulatory requirements such as FRTB which requires a high standard on data governance. We expect using Bloomberg Reference Data will allow us to minimize the operational risk and cost for such data collection at global scale” said a Major Japanese Bank.
