Andic is co-founder and chairman of Mango, a clothing retailer with more than 2,200 stores worldwide. Andic started the closely held business with his brother Nahman in 1984. Isak Andic was born in Istanbul in 1953, and moved to Barcelona with his family 16 years later. He began selling clothes in the Balmes street market in 1973, and opened the first Mango store on Paseo de Gracia street with his brother, Nahman, in 1984.

Focused on womenswear, the concept proved popular and, within a year, there were five stores in Barcelona and one in Valencia. Mango had expanded to Portugal by 1992 and, five years later, revenue from foreign markets exceeded sales from Spain. Mango partners with celebrity spokespersons such as model Kate Moss and actress Penelope Cruz to help expand the brand and, in 2007, opened Europe's largest design center. Mango had more than 2,500 stores and revenue of $2 billion in 2012.

Andic owns one of Spain's biggest private collections of contemporary art, according to local media reports. He also owns Nirvana, a 175-foot sailing yacht that is one of the largest in the world. He began a two-year tenure as president of Spain's Family Business Institute, which represents closely held companies, in 2010.
