May 31 (Bloomberg) -- As we wait for President Obama's big decision on the Keystone XL pipeline, the CEO of the company trying to build it says he's "extremely confident" the project will win U.S. approval. On Sunday's Bloomberg Government's "Capitol Gains", TransCanada CEO Russ Girling challenges Keystone's environmental critics saying it "will be the safest pipeline that has ever been built in the U.S." Girling says the company remains "committed" to the project but also expresses frustration with TransCanada's five year wait for approval. "I have never been involved in a process that has lasted this long," Girling says. "We're not reinventing the wheel here." (Source: Bloomberg)
