Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Jessica Watts, cousin of Aurora, Colorado, theater shooting victim Jonathan Blunk, and Jane Dougherty, whose sister Mary Sherlach was killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, speak at a news conference in Denver, Colorado, calling for stricter gun control measures. Colorado lawmakers plan to introduce eight bills as early as today, including measures that would require background checks for all gun purchases; ban new high-capacity magazines; hold manufacturers, sellers and owners of assault weapons liable for their use; and strengthen mental health services.
