Sept. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, talks about today's reports on U.S. retail sales and consumer prices in August. Retail sales increased 0.9 percent in August, following a revised 0.6 percent advance in July that was smaller than initially reported, the Commerce Department said today in Washington.
