Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, talks about today's reports on U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ended Feb. 23 and fourth-quarter gross domestic product. Jobless claims decreased by 22,000 to 344,000 in the holiday-shortened week, the Labor Department reported in Washington. GDP grew at a 0.1 percent annual rate, up from a previously estimated 0.1 percent drop, revised figures from the Commerce Department showed. (Source: Bloomberg)
