April 11 (Bloomberg) -- Robert Deluce, chief executive officer of Porter Airlines Inc., spoke at a news conference in Toronto yesterday about the carrier's plans to add its first jets to start long-haul flights in an expanded challenge to Air Canada and WestJet Airlines Ltd. Deluce also discussed Porter's planned request for two amendments to permit Bombardier Inc.'s CS100s to fly to Toronto's Billy Bishop airport. They would permit the use of that aircraft and add a 168-meter (551-foot) extension over water to each end of the main runway. (Excerpts. Source: Bloomberg)
