Aug. 31 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama, having made a decision to take military action against Syria, says he will seek authorization from Congress before ordering an attack in response to Syria’s use of chemical weapons. Obama, speaking today from the Rose Garden at the White House, says he spoke with congressional leaders who agreed to schedule a debate and vote once lawmakers return from their recess on Sept. 9.
