Sept. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Trading Advantage Senior Market Analyst Alan Knuckman previews today's markets and discusses his investment ideas with Betty Liu on Bloomberg Television's "In The Loop." (Source: Bloomberg)

Cme is alan up men, senior market analyst at trading advantage.

We had a big streak in the markets for quite some time.

And now we are tapering off.

What is going on?

A little bit of a cause to be expected after we had that the seven sessions of absolute trade-off.

On a weekly basis, we are having nice percentage movement.

What is really nice to see from a bullish standpoint is the fact that we had bullish divergence at the end of august.

We build on it last week.

I'm very positive from here.

The retail sales report number that came out this morning, highly unanticipated -- anticipated.

Does it move the needle at all for you?

I don't think so.

We are at a point where the earnings are over here until we start october 8. the focus for a lot of people and mistake for the market watchers has been focusing on rates.

Rates have moved up.

We have been talking about this 3% yield in the 10-year.

This week we are significantly below that 3%. if we put it in historical context, to put it in perspective, if you look at the last 20 years, every year for the last 20 years we have been higher than we are right now with the exception of last year.

There is concern about the yield run-up, but it is overblown.

I have nothing but positive things to look at when i look at what the markets are telling me.

Now that the dollar is turning lower, that can be supportive.

Thank you, alan.

Senior market at cme.

His call is emerging markets in europe is the place to be.
