July 18 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner chairs a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council in Washington. In opening remarks, Geithner said risk-management failures at firms including JPMorgan Chase & Co. prove the importance of the Dodd-Frank financial rules overhaul. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, who is chairman of the council, Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Gary Gensler and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Schapiro also speak. (Source: Bloomberg)
