July 18 (Bloomberg) -- Imperial college in London is trialing the "iKnife"- a medical tool that detects cancer when it cuts through flesh. It does this by reading smoke taken from the flesh as it is burnt open and a "barcode" is logged in a digital library. They say that in 91 tests it has proved 100% accurate. Thomas Gibson has more.
