Best of 2012: This Robot Is Next Big-Money Drone

Dec. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Researchers at the Illinois Institute of Technology have developed a small flying robot that uses a cage to protect itself. HyTAQ, or Hybrid Terrestrial and Aerial Quadrotor, rolls along the ground and takes to the skies when it encounters an obstacle. (Source: Bloomberg)
