May 29 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, talks about U.S. consumer confidence data released today. Consumer confidence unexpectedly dropped in May for a third consecutive month. The New York-based Conference Board’s sentiment index fell to 64.9 this month, the lowest level since January, from April’s reading of 68.7, the research group said. (Source: Bloomberg)
