March 6 (Bloomberg) -- William "Bill" Maloney, executive vice president for North America at Statoil ASA, talks with Bloomberg's Bradley Olson about oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Maloney said Statoil remains "committed" to the region nearly two years after BP Plc's Macondo well blew out and caused the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history. He spoke yesterday aboard the Developer rig owned by Maersk Drilling, a subsidiary of AP Moller-Maersk A/S, which is drilling an exploratory well for Statoil. (Source: Bloomberg)
